Precision steel pipe production process flow

1. Preparation of raw materials
The raw materials of precision steel pipes generally use high-quality carbon structural steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and other materials. The quality of these steel products should be controlled strictly in accordance with national standards and quality traceability should be implemented.

2. Rolling processing
In the rolling process, the raw materials are heated and fed into the rolling mill for processing. Rolling processing is divided into two methods: hot rolling and cold rolling. Hot rolling is generally used to process rough precision steel pipes, and cold rolling is used to process precision steel pipes with high precision and high surface finish.
3. Pickling
Ferrite will remain on the surface of the precision steel pipe after rolling and cannot be processed directly. In the pickling process, the corrosive effect of the acidic environment is used to remove surface oxides and make the surface of the steel pipe smooth.
4. Cold drawing
The pickled steel pipe is sent to the cold drawing machine, and high dimensional accuracy and surface finish are obtained through drawing, cooling and other processing links. The cold drawing machine can also process the structure of the steel pipe, thereby greatly improving the material properties of the precision steel pipe.

5. Heat treatment
The drawing process of cold-drawn precision steel pipes will have a significant impact on the grain size, structure, hardness and other properties of the steel pipes. The structural structure and physical properties of steel pipe materials can be changed through heat treatment. Tempering, annealing and normalizing are commonly used.
6. Finishing
Slight rust will occur on the surface of the steel pipe after heat treatment. The finishing process is used to remove this rust and greatly improve the surface finish to meet the needs of high precision and high surface quality.
7. Inspection
After finishing, the steel pipe needs to undergo multiple tests to ensure that the steel pipe meets national standards and customer requirements. The inspection includes various indicators such as outer diameter size, wall thickness, inner diameter accuracy, surface quality, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance.
The above is the production process of precision steel pipes. Each link requires strict control and operation to ensure that the final product meets high quality requirements.
